With the goal of opening the game to more members of the Balsam Mountain Preserve Community, Tour Greens worked to create a more casual and quicker playing alternative to the Balsam's full-length Signature 18-hole course. The ultimate goal was to provide members and visitors with more opportunities for night play, junior golf and golf clinics.
The unique concept involved re-purposing the existing driving range into this new practice facility. The Tour Greens design team worked to help bring their ideas to life.
Armed with the innovative design, our experienced installation team then assisted with many aspects of the project's development.
Low maintenance target greens were built to allow the facility to be used year round and at all hours of the day and night.
The innovative practice facility features Tour Greens bent grass tee boxes, target greens and a short game complex featuring a 3,500 square-foot chipping/pitching green complete with practice bunker and fairway approach area.
